No Data, No Charge!

If we are unable to retrieve your data, we don't charge you for time spent! If your hard drive is clicking or grinding, immediately turn your computer off. These noises are a sure sign your hard drive has experienced a hardware failure. DO NOT TURN THE DRIVE ON. Do not attempt to recover the data using software. Any further starts of the hard drive may leave your data unrecoverable.

What will it cost me?

Cost is based on several factors. Time being the largest of those. Our average costs associated with Data Recovery have ranged around $500.00 for a 40GB hard drive. Other costs may include reimbursement for duplicate controller boards or storage media for the recovered data.

Just so you know...

Some hardware failures may require the use of "Clean Room" facilities to rebuild the platters or actuator arms etc of the internal parts of the hard drive. APS is now equipped at this time for this special recovery technique. However, the cost for recovery using a clean room increases recovery costs.

What we do for you:

The data recovery process begins with an initial consultation between you and our forensic data recovery specialists.
Once you decide on using our service, we will give you mailing instructions, if outside our normal service area.
After we preview your media, we will contact you to discuss your data and media. At that time we will provide you a true estimate on the cost to recover the data from the media. If you choose to let us proceed with the recovery, we will ask for a 50% deposit on the estimated cost to recover the data.
Expect numerous contacts from us, as we want to ensure we recover as much data as possible from your drive. Frequent contacts will help you identify any missing files and help us ensure quality service to you, our customer.
Once all data has been recovered, we will again contact you for final payment and forward you your original media and all files recovered during our process in our lab.
